The Return of Tattar

Kristin Tattar, the reigning PDGA World Champion and one of the most dominant players in disc golf, is returning to the 2023 Disc Golf Pro Tour (DGPT) after a successful season in 2022.

Tattar, who hails from Estonia, made history in 2022 by becoming the first European woman to win the PDGA World Championship in Emporia, KS at the Emporia Country Club. She also won three other DGPT events: Jonesboro Open, Green Mountain Championship and Music City Open. She averaged over 1000-rated golf in all of them. Tattar said she was living her dream and looking forward to defending her title at Smugglers’ Notch in 2023, where the PDGA World Championship will return on Labor Day Weekend.

“I’m very excited to be back on tour next year and play with the best players in the world,” Tattar said. “I love traveling and competing in different courses and conditions. It’s a challenge but also a great opportunity to grow as a player and a person.”

Tattar will kick off her 2023 DGPT season at Waco Annual Charity Open presented by Prodigy Discs on March 10-12. She will then play at The Open at Austin presented by Lone Star Disc on March 17-19 and Innova Open at The 28th Annual Texas State Disc Golf Championships on March 24-26.

Tattar said she was grateful for the support of her sponsors, fans and family who helped her achieve her goals.

“I want to thank everyone who has been with me on this journey. It means a lot to me to have your encouragement and feedback. I hope I can inspire more people to play disc golf and enjoy this amazing sport.”
